MEN WHO WIN (Author Unknown) The world says winning is getting ahead in the rat race. The world's philosophy of winning is, "He who dies with the most toys wins the game." But GOD says winning is running a different race by a different set of rules to win a different prize. Winning the rat race is not winning the game; you're still a rat. Only winning the right race is winning! The world says winning is living before you die. JESUS says winning is dying before you live - dying to self, dying to the pursuit of this world - in dying, we find life. Men who win trust CHRIST; men who lose trust themselves! Men who win love CHRIST; men who lose love this world! Men who win follow CHRIST; men who lose follow the rat race! Men who win seek CHRIST's approval; men who lose seek man's approval! Winning is coming to know GOD in a personal relationship through JESUS CHRIST. It is committing our life to CHRIST and choosing to live not for self, but for HIM. Winning is following CHRIST in willing obedience, seeking to do HIS will in all of life. It is competing for HIM and running the race HE has set before us. Winning is serving CHRIST and giving our way of life away to help others in this same pursuit. It is leading others into the race and encouraging them along the way. If a man wins GOD's race, it does not matter where else he loses. If a man loses GOD's race, it matters not where else he may win. Winning is running faithful to the end, persevering to the finish line, overcoming life's obstacles, and winning CHRIST's incorruptible crown. THAT is what winning is!
